Balance Bar

The first Balance Bar was designed by sports enthusiasts in 1992 to provide portable nutrition that's compatible with a philosophy of healthy living. For that reason, the nutritional profile of the original Balance Bar follows a 40-30-30 ratio, offering a "balance" of moderate carbs (40% of its calories), protein (30% of its calories) and dietary fat (30%). According to the company, this balanced (if not visually symmetrical) ratio satisfies hunger, gives you more energy and helps you preserve muscle mass while losing fat.
Balance Bars, which come in eight flavors, contain 23 essential vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins and 100% of your daily dose of antioxidants C and E. Close to half of the protein in a Balance Bar is soy. What this food supplement doesn't have, says the company, is artificial flavor, sweetener or preservatives. People have compared Balance Bar's 40-30-30 philosophy with the Zone Diet, and though there is little widespread consensus on the science behind it, anything "moderate" or "balanced" tends to earn common sense points.
Use Balance Bars to satisfy hunger and boost your energy in coordination with a well rounded and healthy diet.

Most reviewers have good things to say about Balance Bars. The taste, depending on the flavor, is good to great. They provide a reasonable amount of energy while satisfying your hunger, and these nutritional bars work well as part of your after-workout recovery regimen. With no hydrogenated fats, the Balance Bar is generally considered a good value, although some people complain that too many of the carbs are from sugar.
