Ripped Fuel Extreme is manufactured by Twinlab, a major American supplement corporation with headquarters in New York and Utah. The company has been in operation for over 30 years, and produces approximately 500 types of vitamins, minerals, herbal supplements, nutraceuticals and sport nutritional supplements. In 2001, Twinlab settled a lawsuit filed by its shareholders in 1999, who alleged that the company had inflated its inventory. Twinlab agreed to pay $26 million.
Ripped Fuel Extreme is basically another version of Twinlab's Ripped Fuel, with a couple of additions. It still contains a thermogenic complex to increase energy and body heat and speed up metabolism, but now also contains herbal ingredients to help stimulate weight loss.Ripped Fuel Extreme originally contained ephedrine, an ingredient that was temporarily banned from use in supplements in the United States, and remains banned in Canada. Since the ban, Twinlab has developed an ephedra-free version of the product.
Take two capsules twice daily. Do not take more than four capsules per day.
Calcium, chromium, proprietary herbal extract, cocoa seed extract, green tea leaf extract, caffeine, L-carnitine and cayenne fruit extract.
Twinlab has been involved in a number of ephedra-related lawsuits since the late 1990s. However, Ripped Fuel Extreme has yet to be the subject of any allegations.
$15 to $20 for 60 capsules
Some consumers who tried the new Ripped Fuel Extreme were disappointed by its results, having already used the former Twinlab product that contained ephedra. However, many users liked that the supplement gave them an energy boost for a workout, without the shakiness associated with more potent products. A few consumers reported unpleasant side effects including diarrhea and lightheadedness.
