Amino Vital is the American subsidiary of The Ajinomoto Group - a Japanese corporation that markets itself as the number one amino science company in the world, with a 60 percent share in the world amino acid market. The company website states that Ajinomoto created the world's first formula for IV feeding. Amino Vital opened up in the United States in 2003, and now produces energy shakes and drinks, power bars and supplements. The company is also a sponsor of U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams.
Amino Vital Fit Bars are amino acid energy bars, marketed primarily as sports nutrition supplements. They claim to contain 1,000 milligrams of amino acids, with only very little sugar. The combination of nutrients is meant to reduce fatigue during workouts and boost muscle recovery. Fit Bars come in three flavors - Apple Pie, Chocolate Peanut and Toasted Nut Cranberry. According to Amino Vital, none of its products contain substances banned by the United States Olympic Committee. In fact, as stated in a New York Times article, the company reached an agreement with the USOC to have its existing products tested by a World Anti-Doping Agency-approved laboratory before it could market any new products.

Decent bar. Reviewers like the fruit pieces. Although, this bar did have a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste.
